However, “‘health needs’ of those who find their family life destroyed by illegal drug use?” is a ridiculous complaint. The person responsible for that is the person sticking heroin in themselves.
Drug dealers, despite being generally evil, still need willing buyers. Blaming the dealer for the heroin is the same as blaming my local chip shop for the extra pounds I put on. I accept that that is exactly what the pea-brained governments of the world would like, but sentiment like that has no place on a blog called “Orphans of Liberty”.
No, not really a serious expose of the UKs bizarre dug laws, nor a shot across the bows for the inevitable ‘legalise all drugs’ comments. Just a rather world-weary *sigh* at yet another lawbreaker getting off because of a spurious excuse…
Surely, in view of his health needs, Mr Hibbs would actually benefit from being kept in a Dura cell?
