Do they think they are stupid?

When the Tories came to power, they promised that they would do something about getting rid of criminal immigrants clogging up the jails. Well as ever, you can count upon the fingers of my nose exactly how many have actually been deported.

Mail.
Ken Clarke last night admitted the Government had not completed a single prisoner transfer agreement to get rid of foreign criminals since coming to power 18 months ago.
Jails are crowded with overseas inmates, with officials struggling to deport them at the end of their sentence.
But, despite claiming they would tackle the problem, the Justice Secretary said no other countries had agreed to take back their convicts since May last year.
The only new deal in place is an EU-wide prisoner transfer agreement which comes into force next month.
Mr Clarke said there was only one case where negotiations were close to completing a deal.
In a Commons question to the Justice Secretary, his Labour shadow Sadiq Khan said the new agreement with the EU – signed in 2007 under Labour – would make it impossible for a detainee’s native country to refuse a request to take him back and the prisoner’s consent for deportation would not be required.

Now, apart from wondering why any sane country would willingly agree to take some of its criminal scumbags back, I’m also wondering why Sadiq Khan thinks the problem is only linked to the EU, well not unless Nigeria, Russia, Pakistan or various other nations outside of Europe have managed to join the EU (I keep checking, it is a possibility after all, knowing the EU as we do) Perhaps we should just simply overfly these countries and parachute these people back after their sentence is passed. Though I suspect some here might just think me a little too soft hearted in regards to giving them parachutes. It simply should be a case of not asking but dropping them off at the border of the country they came from sans UK passport and leave it to the country of their birth to sort it out, after all if their sentence is up, it’s no longer our problem.
From what I’ve seen of the last three PM’s (Blair, Brown and Cameron) I think the Monster Raving Loony’s would probably prove far more competent, how could they be worse than this bunch of blundering fools?

This recent statement just confirms how useless they are and how pathetic this “human rights” bullcrap really is. If their countries wont take them back, ship them off to Antartica out of the way they wouldnt be a leech on anyones system there. I suspect I’ll be dead and buried long before we actually get in a bunch of politicians with real backbone and applying common pragmatic sense to the UK’s problems.

>Waits patiently for the keep Antarctica clean campaign to have a go.<

I’ve heard the Austrians pay the Romanians to take on their prisoners because it is cheaper to keep them in Romania. Now, if this is OK in another EU country, what about Britain hiring a few cells out in a friendly country, say Kazakhstan/Algeria/Zimbabwe/Devils island? πŸ’‘

Hirta. No inhabitants and a 50ish km swim in the North Atlantic to get to the Outer Hebrides. Just need to get the National Trust to clear off and you can start moving ’em in. After that it’s their problem. It’s okay, I don’t want statues or anything.

Bring back capital punishment and execute the lot of them. Very cheap and satisfying result. And a strong warning for other ethnics who think we’re an easy meal ticket.

Hang on…we have to ask other countries to take back their criminals ? How complicated does giving them a one-way ticket need to be, really. πŸ™„
