More Junk Science

A diet high in saturated fat has been linked with a reduced sperm count.

Wow! Run for the hills, chaps –  and leave those burgers behind. A study tells you they are baby killers.

A study of 99 men attending a US fertility clinic found those eating junk food diets had poorer sperm quality.

As you were, nothing to see here.

“A study of 99 men attending a US fertility clinic found those eating junk food diets had poorer sperm quality.”

So, a bunch of men attending a clinic because they have problems conceiving turn out to have poor sperm counts?

Self-selecting sample groups, tiny and statistically irrelevant sample sizes, no control, no correlation of actual data. Science? Not in my world it isn’t!

I suppose we’ll be getting warnings on burgers soon (Oh and burgers prescribed prophylactically for all those unmarried chavs dads – who never eat burgers, do they!)

Well put – couldn’t agree more.

Surely if this were true, the underclass (which we are constantly informed live on junk food) wouldn’t be breeding at a rate that would make a rabbit blush?

Don’t worry, it was only 99 of them. Plenty more where they came from
