Incompetence

Lord Somber sends a piece about the elite and incompetence:

How do you turn “the smartest people in the world” into the dumbest? Simple: you turn the sophisticated sources of information on which they depend — elite media, academia, and schools — into sources of misinformation. And how do you persuade people who should know better to embrace bad ideas and silly concepts? Equally simple. You make those ideas fashionable.

The true class warfare going on is not that of the one percent reactionary, greedy rich versus the ninety-nine percent of everyone else, but rather a section of the elite that benefits from big government — in supposed alliance with those receiving government payments, plus various groups given special privileges — against everyone else.

Per Taine’s words about nineteenth century France, the revolutionaries are no longer “doctors without patients and lawyers without clients,” but rather those who would be without patients, clients, or employment if not for the government’s patronage.

Not only that but the incompetent left are also employing the incompetent and when this goes on and on, the result of any project is simply wrong, way overbudget or damaging. I’ve seen no exceptions in the past three years I’ve been looking. Doesn’t matter which continent – there they are – the globalist incompetents in charge, wittering on about social justice and PCism.

A high moral compass has never been a feature of either Washington or Westminster but it has reached new a new low when Pink Dave decided to start the petrol panic. My mate pointed out that it was wholly coincidental, was it not, that this occurred just before the end of the fiscal year.

This goes a long way to explaining all those posts Julia puts up about inanity – I want a pound for every time she’s used the words “face palm”. The issue, of course, is how to reverse the situation. We’re not in power – they are. They will fight tooth and nail for their sinecures. Their greatest defence is that there is nobody competent up there to turf them out.

How to reverse this?

“I want a pound for every time she’s used the words “face palm””. I bet you do. Unearned money is what every (* fill in your own pejorative term *) wants.

Do I detect a certain hostility there, Edgar?

“They will fight tooth and nail for their sinecures.”

They will. Also, vast numbers in the public sector must know their jobs are a cost, so they will act accordingly.

They know their jobs are secure under any political regime.
No government, of any hue, can operate if those who REALLY run it are hostile to them.
Those being made unemployed in government are those part-time workers or those on short term contracts….the “career” public servants are embedded in job security.

Government is the greatest organised crime syndicate.

They’re not going to give up their sources of wealth without a fight and they will fight dirty. If need be they’ll start a nuclear war or poison the Earth.
