Not sure how we stand re copyright but here was one sent a while back:
Combine that with a link sent yesterday about the “feeding the monkey” NASA joke:
NASA decided they’d finally send a man up in a capsule after sending only monkeys in the earlier missions. They fire the man and the monkey into space. The intercom crackled, “Monkey, fire the retros.” A little later, “Monkey, check the solid fuel supply.” Later still, “Monkey, check the life support systems for the man.” The astronaut took umbrage and radioed NASA, ” When do I get to do something?” NASA replies, ” In fifteen minutes, feed the monkey.”
… and there’s an issue.
Quite apart from the way you can’t see a female today without a smartphone either glued to her ear or in her hands being texted at [and the males aren't far behind], the message about feed the monkey is more and more relevant as the only people brought into management are parachutees – check out Cynthia Bower of the CQC, the latest addition to the list – and the only people doing the increasingly dogsbody work are … er … dogsbodies, nicely compliant, able to flick the lever or press the button and there is the vision of the future workplace.
But we know that, don’t we? The thing is – how to reverse it?

Fritz Lang’s Metropolis springs to mind.
