Yes, bacon goes with just about anything, but so do tomatoes (plum or otherwise). So bacon and plum tomatoes (or fresh or fried or whatever) is pretty much a shoo-in.
PS, when I went to Germany I was horrified to see that they eat raw bacon (the thin posh Italian stuff), that’s just as nice as golden crispy or fat and juicy once you get used to it.
