The Food Stamp Program, administered by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, is actually proud of the fact it is distributing the greatest amount of free meals and food stamps ever.
Meanwhile, the National Park Service, administered by the U.S.Department of the Interior, asks “Please Do Not Feed the Animals.”
Their stated reason for the policy is because the animals will grow dependent on handouts and will not learn to take care of themselves.

You’ve missed the point completely. Food stamps are not for the benefit of poor people, they are for the benefit of farmers (whose output is subsidised) and landowners (who can charge e.g. higher rents if people don’t spend so much money on food) and as ever, it is taxpaying rent paying muggins who goots the bill.
