The Pamela Geller article at American Thinker on the EDL was an eye-opener [h/t IPJ].
I’m not getting into the real differences between the EDL and BNP, that it is a beat-up on the EDL in most cases or any of that. What I am getting into is British justice or lack of it. You can read the whole thing but some excerpts:
# stripping them and forcing them to wear white paper overalls like those given to incarcerated terrorists.
# They were allowed no phone calls.
# After smashing the door to Carroll’s home off its hinges, police officials repaired it, got a locksmith to put on a new lock, and left with the new keys, leaving Carroll locked out of his own home.
# Prison officials have even put him in a cell with hostile Muslims
My question is – what real, as distinct from invented, crime has he actually committed? I mean, did he beat someone to death or shoot a police officer or what? If they’ve not got convictions in so many courts of law, then what crimes has he actually committed?
And what crimes justify this treatment in Britain?

James, good for you for reporting this. It needs to be shouted from the rooftops that our police are out of control and persecuting the innocent while allowing the guilty to embed themselves amongst us with evil intent, and supported by those who should be protecting us. Thank God for the BF party and the EDL because no one else is trying to provide an opposition to our enemies.
It used to be the case that you could not be arested until you at least were suspected of comitting a crime. Then came Blair, and the politicisation of the police. The actions of some of our police in recent years would not have been out of place in Hitler’s Germany, or Stalin’s Russia, and it is almost too late to do anything about it. We have elections for Police Commisioners in a few weeks. Look very carefully at who is standing, and try and find a candidate who will do something about this situation before it is too late. GO OUT AND VOTE.
Yes, Blair accelerated the rot. But it was already present.
And what has the coalition done about it? Nothing…

I am sorry if I am doing this to death, but I have told this before…..a lot of times (???).
So. I have many….MANY friends here who were, in a past life, with the MfS (“Stassi” to every one out of “the circle”) One, retired from everything, was a real life Gestapo man…. Officer, and another TWO were KGB! (Decided to “retire” to Berlin after the “Wall” fell down….. dont ask…
)
And they were not a mere “Leutnants” either.
EVERY single one of them, on hearing what I tell them from the likes of OoL and other “Government watching” blogg sites, has achieved only ONE response; “SHIT mann I wish WE had had those powers!!!” Only in German… of course.
Remember, I am talking here of ex MfS/GESTAPO* Colonels, and even above!
What does THAT tell you? Does THAT not start ringing any alarm bells????
But then here I am preaching to the converted.
* That is not “shouting”, they are initials, NOT a word. Therefore written in capitals….Melvin.
Meanwhile we have Longriders article calling for less interference with the press – yet precisely WHAT is stopping the MSM from shouting this type of fascism from the front pages?
PCism.
Dave_G – “precisely WHAT is stopping the MSM from shouting this type of fascism from the front pages?
Money buys tacit approval. It was ever thus.
This will not change until people in general realise that the all authority exists in cliques, e.g. The Masonic Lodges and their heirarchies, democracy is just the fad of the moment and when it is legitimately used to threaten the status quo this is the result. If someone from the outside wants to get in on a democratic vote, they had better plan their campaign with a lot more cunning, rescources and stratergy….. and lose the naivety very rapidly.
You may find that much of our internal affairs are influenced from Riyhad,KSA.
There is that, of course.
