..An hour sitting with a pretty girl on a park bench passes like a minute

A few days ago, I posted on my own site, a small segment about the Muslim youth who was arrested because he had built an electronic clock, and brought it to his school inside a case.

Because of the furore about a seemingly-innocent kid being arrested, I wrote “But, given the mood within schools and colleges today, and allowing for the fact that your name is Ahmed Mohamed, you are Muslim, and your skin is Brown: might it not have been wiser to bring along a big label stating, ‘My Dad has confirmed that this is an Electronic Clock’!”

But now it seems as though the whole episode was contrived to provoke alarm (no pun intended), as the youngster seems to have just stripped the insides from an ordinary digital clock, bolted the display to the case lid, and jerry-rigged a power supply into the system, as can be seen from the video.

Now be that as it may, are we going to see the invitation to the White House rapidly withdrawn?

[…]“It depends on what that faith is,” replied Mr. Carson, a retired neurosurgeon who is a practicing Seventh-Day Adventist. “If it’s inconsistent with the values and principles of America, then of course it should matter. But if it fits within the realm of America and consistent with the Constitution, no problem.”

Mr. Todd asked if Mr. Carson believes Islam is “consistent with the Constitution.”

“No, I do not,” Mr. Carson answered. He then added: “I would not advocate that we put a Muslim in charge of this nation. I absolutely would not agree with that.” [/quote]

    Affirmative.

But over here on this side of the pond it’s a race between France, the UK and with Germany coming up on the outside……………….who TF knows, in 30 years hence – defo, possibly, in as short a time as twenty years.
