The case for a strongman

Woodpile report:

He asks us to put ill will behind us and work together for the good of the country. He says we’re all in this together. No, we’re not. Sure they’re our fellow Americans, but so are Jeffrey Dahmer and Charles Manson.

The leftists aren’t merely wrong, they’re dishonest and malevolent.

They still hold us, our values and our heritage in contempt.

They still mean to destroy the reputations and careers of dissenters.

They still adore illegal aliens, jihadists, dindu thugs and the perverts du jour.

They still insult and demean us and teach our kids to despise America, us and themselves.

They still mean to trash what remains of the Constitution.

The internet is full of their abuse and threats of bloodshed.

It’s like Clinton or Carter asking Israel and the Arabs to all get along together now, let’s all be friends … even as the Arabs fire daily rockets and move weaponry around Israel’s borders, vowing to wipe it off the map and at the same time, get the UN to condemn Israel’s retaliation, while the meathead left sends flotillas for Israeli border patrol to board.

Attitudes by now have become so hardened, to the point the two sides cannot stand one another from cradle to grave.

Thus settlers, hardwired into considering no Arab demand whatsoever, move into the West Bank, at least neutralizing the threat there but at the same time bringing down condemnation.

And as Arabs observe, it reinforces the hatred they’ve been taught from birth – that the only good Israeli is a dead Israeli.

Which is the same situation as in Rwanda, as in Northern Ireland – both sides hardwired, with zero tolerance of the tricky dicky games of the other.

And it’s not a huge stretch to also see the situation with Leavers and Remainers, with Deplorables and Meatheads, with the Euro-alt-right and the Globalists as the start of similar hardwired mutually exclusive communities within the same borders.

Does society need a third, e.g. the killing and raping Muslims?

So the question is – can there ever be rapprochement?

My answer is that only a strongman can do it – an impervious curmudgeon who forces the sides to live in artificial tolerance but here’s the key – under the rule of law regarding behaviour.

And ideally, that strongman has shifted from a leftist youth to a more sane older age, but he is cognisant of what needs doing.

Do we see such a leader anywhere? In America we do but in Britain, with vacillating and slyboots May, bending with the wind and doing nothing? A WeiMay Republic?

Most of our politicos have grown older (few have grown up) to the accompaniment of the Left hurling epithets of racist/sexist/fascist etc. (ad infinitum, ad nauseam) at any hint of dissent, so they’re actually conditioned in a Pavlovian way to avoid any utterances which might attract such names. Newspeak apparently works.
