Two weeks ago, I reported on a truly nasty promotion, for a product on sale online at the Ocado site. I picked the story up from the Christian Institute’s e-mails, and as well as highlighting the story on the blogs I write for; decided to write in the strongest possible terms to Ocado, protesting their lending of their brand name to this truly offensively-named series of products. As maybe been stated before, these days I am an unbeliever, but I dislike it intensely when my former religion is attacked, especially in that gratuitous fashion!
Seems as though I was not the only one to complain, and Ocado maybe sensed that their marketing strategy wasn’t ringing all the bells it should: and this morning I received an e-mail from Ocado stating that this stuff had been removed from their range, and delisted from the website.
Strange but awe-inspiring when ordinary people get upset when their Religion is being disparaged, get together without knowing, and legally achieve a Result!
