I'm an English Burkian Conservative of a certain age, deeply infected with Jeffersonian Libertarianism. I continue to resist the undoubted charms of Kipperism because the Kippers themselves are, on the whole, too odd for me, though their hearts are, more or less, in the right place. Bloggery standpoint: Socialists are all bad or mad or both and Socialism, like the EU, is inimical to both the common weal and Man's innate, God-given liberty.
